Freedom is Divine Timing

Freedom is …knowing that everything has its divine time. When the Jews were in the desert after leaving Egypt (the Passover story), they were commanded to build a Mishkan (a portable sanctuary, spiritual center) for the Schechina (feminine aspect of the Divine) to dwell. For seven days they set it up and took it apart until the eighth day, Hashem’s (G-d’s) presence rested there. Hashem said “Know that everything has its time. Everything happens at exactly the moment it’s meant to happen, not a moment before or after” (from ancient text Yalkut Shimoni). And in life we can ‘know’ this to bring us comfort and freedom from anxiety. We can make our human efforts with patience and peace of mind, become a keli (vessel) to receive G-d’s revealed good and know that at the exact moment when something is meant to be, it will be.
