Stillness is … presence without demand or judgement. Like animal communicator Anna Breytenbach does. Even a dblack panther with PTSD relaxes and communicates with her (see video below). That is probably all that we each want from one another.
11th day of the Jewish month of Cheshvan – the month of Stillness
Stillness is … surrendering to ‘what is.’ That point of letting go of expectations (‘false visions of the future’) and sitting in the present moment with whatever is presenting itself is an act of stillness. When things were a bit topsy turvy this morning, I dropped into my frustration and resistance, then chose an affirmation. This plus sprinklings of gratitude and conscious breath enabled me to avoid mind-body syndrome symptoms like headaches and those other weird aches that can pop up from resistance.
