23rd day of the Jewish month of Adar – the month of Joy & Strength
Joy and Strength are … choosing happy by telling ourselves a new story. Overly used mental patterns keep us in a rut. Telling ourselves a new story carves a new neural path in our brains and deposits us gently on a new path in life as well. So many possibilities and so many different perspectives to choose from. Some make us victims and some make us heroes.
22nd day of the Jewish month of Adar – the month of Joy & Strength
Joy and Strength are … shells. I’ve got a fun shell story to tell. I was in California and my family and I went to the beach to watch the sunset. People were combing the sand for shells and whatever other treasures that they could find along the ocean’s edge. As we got closer to the churning waves (but still many feet away), I saw a large bump on the sand and walked quickly over to it. It was this fully magnificent shell. I plucked it up off the sand and holding it, glanced around me. The beach was filled with people wandering and looking down for shells, and yet, this magnificent, fully intact shell had lay untouched for I don’t know how long. It was dusk, but there was still plenty of light, enough to see what one was looking for. And the other days that I had visited the beach, I had found no other shells even close to being whole in form, nor spiral in shape. The water had been very rough our entire time vacationing there, leaving only bits and pieces of broken clam shells. As I held this perfect, spiral shell, I suddenly got this intuitive download that the shell was put there just for me to really understand that everything in our world is perfectly placed for each one of us. Just divinely perfect. It made me really sink into the belief, one that I know is true, that divine providence is truly divine.
The story doesn’t end there. When I got back home, I went into my closet and saw a collage that I had done a few years ago. You can see it in the picture. It’s the exact same shell. And not only that, but on my shelf was a shell, that also was the exact same shell. To a T.
Our lives are divinely perfect for us and what we find in the world is for us alone to embrace, love, elevate, better, help, and heal. And this is our Joy and our Strength. Do not break under the weight of this precious mission, but fuel yourself with love and belief in your abilities to march forward and stay complete and whole as you turn darkness into light 🙂
21st day of the Jewish month of Adar – the month of Joy & Strength
Joy and Strength are … staying as present as possible. “It is a mistake to look to far ahead. Only one link in the chain of destiny can be handled at a time.” – Sir Winston Churchill
16th day of the Jewish month of Adar – the month of Joy & Strength
Joy and Strength are … the lessons of Purim.
1) There is always something happening behind the scenes and it is up to us to know that as we take our ‘in the scenes’ actions.
2) The deeds and faith of the children saved the day so it’s important as adults to lead the way through love, compassion and wise discernment as to what’s needing to be done.
3) Return to your soul’s roots. Whether it’s through meditation, prayer, thought work, emotional processing, nature, etc. get to the core of your soul and hear it’s intuitive guidance. And it’s not always what you think so pay attention 🙂
4) Listen to your soul’s guidance even if your mind says something different. Play mindfully and carefully with resistance.
5) Each one of us has a purpose to serve in this world. Know your gifts and walk steady with them.
6) Tap into Joy as much as possible. Bring that Joy to others as well.

Joy and Strength … emerge from gratitude practices. “To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven.” – Johannes A. Gaertner
Living, loving gratitude is the highest vibration there is.
11th day of the Jewish month of Adar – the month of Joy and Strength
Joy and Strength are … our resiliency. When one is willing to go into the fire of grief to recover from a loss, one will discover great strength, confidence and resilience. I was blessed to guide and witness a client through difficulty and these are her words to me: “I was losing confidence in myself and starting to lose all hope in what’s ahead of me. I now gained all of it back and feel even more hopeful and confident. I am very grateful to Miriam. She helped me go through one of the toughest periods of my life. She taught me how nothing can stop me if I believe in myself, if there is hope inside, and if I follow the hidden signals coming from my own body.” S.M. Such a witnessing of Joy and Strength.
