Joy and Strength are … knowing that whatever is outside of you, is inside of you. There is empowerment in that knowledge. Call it the mirror effect, the Baal Shem Tov teachings, the Byron Katie thing, the holographic universe principle, whatever, but until you touch on that thing inside of you that is being triggered by something outside of you, you won’t get the relief or peace-of-mind that you’re looking for. And you’ll feel powerless because you can’t really force change upon something outside of you. For the past few days, I was feeling a sadness that I couldn’t figure out the source for. This morning I spent some quiet time going inward with my somatic tools. I still couldn’t get to the source. And then something shifted and I got it! It truly felt like relief. I understood what the message of the sadness was and what I was being asked to think/do differently. It’s so empowering to know that the change that needs to be made is within you.
