Joy and Strength are … shells. I’ve got a fun shell story to tell. I was in California and my family and I went to the beach to watch the sunset. People were combing the sand for shells and whatever other treasures that they could find along the ocean’s edge. As we got closer to the churning waves (but still many feet away), I saw a large bump on the sand and walked quickly over to it. It was this fully magnificent shell. I plucked it up off the sand and holding it, glanced around me. The beach was filled with people wandering and looking down for shells, and yet, this magnificent, fully intact shell had lay untouched for I don’t know how long. It was dusk, but there was still plenty of light, enough to see what one was looking for. And the other days that I had visited the beach, I had found no other shells even close to being whole in form, nor spiral in shape. The water had been very rough our entire time vacationing there, leaving only bits and pieces of broken clam shells. As I held this perfect, spiral shell, I suddenly got this intuitive download that the shell was put there just for me to really understand that everything in our world is perfectly placed for each one of us. Just divinely perfect. It made me really sink into the belief, one that I know is true, that divine providence is truly divine.
The story doesn’t end there. When I got back home, I went into my closet and saw a collage that I had done a few years ago. You can see it in the picture. It’s the exact same shell. And not only that, but on my shelf was a shell, that also was the exact same shell. To a T.
Our lives are divinely perfect for us and what we find in the world is for us alone to embrace, love, elevate, better, help, and heal. And this is our Joy and our Strength. Do not break under the weight of this precious mission, but fuel yourself with love and belief in your abilities to march forward and stay complete and whole as you turn darkness into light 🙂
