Courage Is Getting Up Every Morning And Spreading Light
Courage is … getting up every morning to continue your service in this world. Just know that each act of kindness, every penny of charity and all generous words to another human are pushing the world to an awesome place – one of peace, health, unity and abundance for all. I know it looks dark a lot of the time with war, senseless killings and illness, but we are not headed towards destruction as some think, we are headed towards a time called Geula, when divine light will shine revealing an immense G-dly energy in the world. What we’re doing now is thinning the dense form of the physical world and revealing the sparks of holiness within. This is done by those amazing good deeds you do when you go thru your day. Keep spreading light and one day soon, the switch will take place in an instant. These are lyrics from my favorite Chanukah song that was written by some Jewish youths with hope and prayer on their tongues:
‘The dark eats you alive its hard to survive
but we gotta live we gotta flip evil into light
with all our might be forever bright unity and harmony.
We’re writing our dream look up to the stars
shout and scream from Greece to the Middle East
we need peace good and better forever together switch the dark into a glowing spark’
Ker A Velt Productions (‘Ker A Velt’ is Yiddish phrase from the Lubavitcher Rebbe when he pleaded with his followers to turn the ‘world upside down’ with good deeds to bring the immense G-dly light of Geula into reality). It is happening and everyday that a person gets out of bed in service of bringing more goodness and kindness into the world, brings that reality ever closer till suffering and darkness are swallowed up and no more. It takes Courage.
